September 16, 1935: We cut 68 rows

ITM got 3 balls twine. Hoyts filling silo. I cut 22 rows corn at Hoyts. H Tripp sent man & team to Hoyts for me, R Tripps man came in PM with 3 horses & binder. We cut 68 rows. Raymond helped in silo.

September 14, 1935: made horse for shucking corn

TTM I made horse for shucking corn & took up to east end of sweet corn, fed cows corn in lot, went to H Tripp filing silo 8hrs. boys set up nearly all of sweet corn. Cooper took our team cut corn at Hoyts. L Hoyt drilling wheat.

TTM L Hoyt & I went see S Donovan, he is going to bring over ensilige cutter over & set up, use Hoyts tractor, fill at Hoyts Mon & than here. R & I got binder ready to cut. PM We cut sixteen rows sweet corn on south side of lot.

TTM it rained about all night & AM. We done odd jobs. PM R & I cleaned calf pen, moved broder house, fed cows corn on stone boat. I settled with Mrs Hoyt. I owe her $60.05.

September 6, 1935: got tile laid in silo drain

ITM got 4 bags feed of Hoyts ALF. R cleaned stables & draged wheat ground make 2 times over. I got tile laid in silo drain. cut corn for cows & spread in lot. cut bu cabbage for Maxell. Gave Mrs Hoyt $35.00.
